Attached is an invitation to the first Lawyers Committee event for Governor Deval Patrick, to be held at 6 P.M. on October 30 at the University of Massachusetts Club at 225 Franklin Street in Boston. Why is the governor seeking support now? The simple reason is that he needs to maintain his political base, that there are annual fundraising limits, and that his supporters want to ensure that he serves two terms.
