What are the most common financials issues raised by entrepreneurs? How can lawyers help their clients before a financial crisis exists? Mike will highlight critical issues for entrepreneurs, which he has written about in his book Ask Mike: Answers to Common and Uncommon Questions about Entrepreneurial Finance. Mike will also cover the financial statement issues and practices that are common to companies in financial distress, and what lawyers should be on the lookout for.
Mike Gonnerman has thirty-nine years of financial experience, having worked with Arthur Andersen (10 years in Torino, Italy, and Washington, DC), as the CFO for a public and two private high technology companies (12 years), and as a financial consultant to more than eighty-five companies (17 years). Mike has also served on the boards of directors and advisors of twenty-six companies, where he typically chairs the audit and compensation committees. He received his AB in Economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA in accounting from Northwestern University.
