I began practicing in 2007, primarily working in foreclosures and evictions. Now starting my own practice, I am focusing on patent procurement.

I have spent most of her 18 year legal career as in-house counsel, focusing on employment matters as well as various types of contracts. I have worked with CEOs, executives and mid-level managers, scientists, engineers, school principals, teachers, and others. I have been a mediator for 5 years, recently expanding my training to include divorce and family mediation. I received my JD and BS from Georgetown University, both with honors. I am a former adjunct law professor where I learned a great deal about listening to and learning from each person. My goal is to reach legal solutions compatible to the specific needs of each client.

Ms. Gilbert has a technical background in computer network architecture and network security, with a degree in computer science. She is registered to practice law in Massachusetts and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Prior to founding Hyperion Law, she worked as a senior attorney in the intellectual property department at one of the nation’s leading law firms. Ms. Gilbert was selected for inclusion in the 2009 Massachusetts Super Lawyers / Rising Stars Edition.

Paul Cohen is a business lawyer with over 20 years of experience in many aspects of corporate law, including contracts, intellectual property, licensing, litigation management, advertising and corporate communications. Paul has previously served as in-house counsel to Emptoris, Inc. (a technology leader in the areas of sourcing optimization, intelligent procurement systems and contract management), as in-house counsel to BroadVision, Inc. (a leading, publicly-traded provider of personalized, self-service e-business applications) Dragon Systems Inc. (a pioneer developer and marketer of speech recognition technology products), NEC Computer Systems Division (the US subsidiary manufacturer and marketer of desktop, notebook and server computer systems of a Japanese corporation), Data General Corporation, and General Electric. Paul has a J.D. degree from Suffolk University, and an M.B.A. and B.A. from Clark University. He has also completed course work at the Harvard Negotiation Project. He is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell and listed in Who's Who in American Law.
