Susan Kormis, principal, has over 20 years of experience in human resources and business management. Prior to starting SKA in 1995, she held management positions with large corporations, professional services firms and start-up organizations. Her experience includes working with small companies that have multi-state and international offices. Susan holds a BS degree from Drexel University, and received certification as a Professional Trainer from Friesen, Kaye and Associates.

I have been practicing business, corporate and securities law for over 7 years — specializing in representing startups, emerging growth companies, venture capital firms and angel investors in the technology sector. I represent companies throughout all stages of development including corporation formation, venture capital financings and merger and acquisitions. I represented companies such Polycom, Autodesk, TopTier Software, Virage, Autoweb, Informatica, PeoplePC and Atmel Corporation. I also represented investment banks (such as Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs), entrepreneurs, technology and emerging growth startups, venture capital firms and angel investors. After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall), I started my law practice in Palo Alto in the corporate and securities department at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. It was a great time of learning and developing the fundamental skills I needed to succeed as a corporate and securities attorney. I sincerely appreciated my time there learning from some great attorneys. The years at Wilson Sonsini were pretty eventful with the long hours and late nights while getting married and having two daughters. I have since moved down to Orange County to be closer to family and started Technology Capital Law Group in Newport Beach, California in 2006. Last year, my third (and last!) daughter joined our family.

Jason Gish concentrates his practice on business, technology transactions and intellectual property matters. Mr. Gish has broad based experience as a business and intellectual property attorney representing a variety of technology companies. He counsels clients on a wide range of legal matters including technology transfer and licensing agreements, product and service purchase and sale agreements, intellectual property strategies and general business transactions. He has experience counseling clients in the fields of medical devices, manufacturing, software, Internet, computer hardware and biotechnology. Prior to forming TLG Law LLC, Mr. Gish practiced at Foley Hoag LLP and Wilmer Hale LLP, both in Boston, MA. He also clerked for the Honorable Alvin A. Schall of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Prior to attending law school, he completed General Electric's two–year management program.
